Legendary German rock band Scorpions is coming home — and they’re bringing the world with them. In celebration of their incredible 60-year legacy, the band will play a monumental concert in their hometown of Hanover on July 5, 2025, at the Heinz von Heiden Arena — the first time they’ve ever headlined a stadium in their native city.
Titled “Coming Home,” the show is already one for the history books, with 45,000 tickets selling out in minutes. The concert will be recorded and released as a live album, “Coming Home Live,” available globally on November 14 via Spinefarm/Vertigo/Universal in both vinyl and CD formats.

🔥 A Career That Shaped Rock History
Formed in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, SCORPIONS have stood the test of time — performing on stages across the globe and influencing generations of musicians from Metallica and KISS to Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins.
“Back then, we just wanted to be part of the global rock family — that was our dream,” said Schenker. “And now, here we are, still rocking.”
Frontman Klaus Meine emphasized the enduring power of the stage:
“Performing live is the most important thing — the strongest element of who we are. The Scorpions have always seen their place on stage, playing for fans around the world.”
🎸 “Coming Home Live”: A Legacy Captured
The upcoming “Coming Home Live” album will feature the band’s biggest hits, fan favorites, and several surprises — a sonic tribute to their six-decade journey. For longtime fans and new listeners alike, it promises to be a definitive live collection capturing the emotion, energy, and excellence that defines the SCORPIONS.
Lead guitarist Matthias Jabs shared his excitement:
“I don’t like to dwell on the past — I focus on the now and what’s next. And right now, this hometown stadium concert is everything.”

🎤 Looking Ahead: Las Vegas & Beyond
SCORPIONS have announced rescheduled dates for their “Coming Home to Las Vegas” 60th Anniversary residency at Planet Hollywood, following drummer Mikkey Dee’s recovery from a severe blood infection earlier this year. The band will now perform on August 14, 16, 19, 21, and 23, with Buckcherry serving as the opening act. This highly anticipated residency marks a significant milestone for the legendary rock band, celebrating six decades of their iconic music. Fans can expect a powerful return to the stage as Mikkey Dee, who recently faced a life-threatening battle with sepsis, has made a full recovery and is eager to rejoin his bandmates. The shows promise a captivating experience for rock enthusiasts, showcasing Scorpions’ enduring legacy and their classic hits.
The shows follow SCORPIONS’ two previous Vegas sell-outs — “Sin City Nights” (2022) and “Love at First Sting Las Vegas” (2024).
🏆 A Global Rock Legacy
With over 120 million albums sold, performances across Russia, China, Southeast Asia, and every major continent, SCORPIONS have used music as a bridge between cultures, generations, and political divides.
“They’re the best thing that could have happened to hard rock or heavy metal,” said Jon Bon Jovi.
Metallica’s Kirk Hammett recalled: “I was obsessed with SCORPIONS after seeing the ‘Tokyo Tapes’ cover. It changed everything for me.”
