After two years of military service and solo projects, BTS has officially announced their long-awaited return — and it’s shaping up to be the biggest comeback in K-pop history.
During a surprise livestream on Weverse Tuesday, all seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — reunited virtually for the first time since 2022, igniting fan excitement around the world. The group confirmed plans for a full-group comeback in spring 2026 with a brand-new album and an extensive world tour that promises to bring BTS back to global stages in epic fashion.

📣 “We’re Coming Back — Together”
“We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year,” the members said collectively during the emotional 30-minute livestream, which drew more than 7.3 million real-time viewers. “Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas.”
The group emphasized that this next chapter would mirror the spirit of their early days. “We’re approaching this album with the same mindset we had when we first debuted,” they added, signaling a return to their roots while evolving creatively.
🎶 New Album, New Era
Although the group did not reveal a specific release date, Korean media reports have speculated a March 2026 drop — just as the final members complete their military service. BTS did confirm that recording will begin in the U.S. next month, kicking off a new creative process that will see all seven members collaborating closely for the first time in years.
The album will mark the group’s first full-length group release since 2022’s Proof, a compilation that closed the first chapter of their career. In the time since, all members have found success as solo artists:
- Jung Kook – Golden (2023)
- V – Layover (2023)
- Jimin – Face (2023), Muse (2024)
- Suga – D-Day (2023)
- Jin – Happy (2024), Echo (2025)
- J-Hope – Jack in the Box (2022)
- RM – Indigo (2022), Right Place, Wrong Person (2024)
While their solo efforts have dominated global charts and award shows, the members have consistently reassured fans that BTS was never over — just evolving.
🌎 The Return of a Global Phenomenon: World Tour Coming
Alongside the album, BTS also announced plans for a “massive world tour”. This will be their first full-scale tour since 2021–2022’s Permission to Dance on Stage, which sold over 4 million tickets and broke viewership records globally.
“We’ll be visiting fans all around the world,” they confirmed. “We hope you’re as excited as we are.”
No dates or cities have been announced yet, but fans can expect BTS to hit major arenas and stadiums across Asia, North America, Europe, and Latin America.
💜 BTS Is Back — Stronger, United, and Ready
BTS’s livestream reunion served as a powerful emotional moment not just for the ARMY fandom, but for the global music industry. Their decision to return as a complete unit, rather than extending their solo success, highlights the deep bond between the members — and their commitment to creating shared moments with fans again.
With new music on the way, a world tour in development, and the group finally reuniting in full strength, Spring 2026 marks the start of BTS’s next era. And if history is any indication, it will be nothing short of legendary.
