Dayseeker Announces Haunting New Album ‘Creature In The Black Night’ — Out October 24

DAYSEEKER Announces New Album 'Creature In The Black Night'

Southern California’s genre-blending heavy rock band DAYSEEKER has announced their upcoming sixth album, Creature In The Black Night. The record arrives October 24 via Spinefarm Records.

Described as their most immersive and intentional project yet, the album embraces a darker, more cinematic direction. It was produced by Daniel Braunstein (SPIRITBOX, SILENT PLANET) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (BLINK-182, BRING ME THE HORIZON).

To celebrate the announcement, the band dropped the album’s title track along with a dramatic music video. The song blends eerie atmosphere with dreamy melodies, emotional vocals, and explosive breakdowns — everything fans have come to expect from DAYSEEKER.

“‘Creature In The Black Night’ is the darker part of your conscience overpowering you,” said frontman Rory Rodriguez. “It’s about the rush you’re addicted to that you can’t ignore.”

Notably, this follows “Pale Moonlight,” which dropped in April and has already amassed 10 million streams. The momentum is clearly building.

🦇 Tracklist: Creature In The Black Night

  1. Pale Moonlight
  2. Creature In The Black Night
  3. Crawl Back To My Coffin
  4. Shapeshift
  5. Soulburn
  6. Bloodlust
  7. Cemetery Blues
  8. Nocturnal Remedy
  9. The Living Dead
  10. Meet The Reaper
  11. Forgotten Ghost

While not a traditional concept album, the record carries a clear theme. Its visuals, lyrical content, and song titles all point to a horror-inspired narrative.

“There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on,” Rodriguez explained. “Once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it.”

🔊 A Heavier, More Honest Sound

Unlike what some expected, DAYSEEKER has moved away from a more commercial path. Instead, the band has leaned into heavier riffs, more screaming, and sharper edges.

“There was this idea that we’d get more and more commercial,” said Rodriguez. “But the opposite happened. And it feels honest.”

This shift reinforces the group’s commitment to authenticity over trends.

🎤 On Tour Throughout 2025

DAYSEEKER will stay busy for the rest of 2025. In addition to headline shows, the band will support ICE NINE KILLS and IN THIS MOMENT on tour this fall. Their emotional and high-energy performances continue to draw packed crowds.

📈 From Post-Hardcore Roots to 600M+ Streams

Since forming in 2012, DAYSEEKER has transformed from a rising post-hardcore act into one of the most emotionally resonant bands in alternative metal. Their breakout 2019 album Sleeptalk shifted toward a more melodic, atmospheric sound. Then in 2022, Dark Sun took a personal turn, dealing with the loss of Rodriguez’s father.

That emotional depth continues to connect with fans worldwide. With over 600 million streams and tours alongside Pierce The Veil, Bad Omens, and Ice Nine Kills, DAYSEEKER’s influence continues to grow.
